Help with Solari.

Last updated October 6, 2026.

Solari is a meal-planning app for iPhone, made by Solari Family LLC. A real person reads every support message and replies as soon as we reasonably can.

Common questions.

How do I bring in a recipe?

From a social post or a recipe website, tap Share and choose Solari. You can also open Recipes and paste a link or the whole recipe text, or bring many recipes over at once from a PDF, screenshots, or pasted text.

Solari always saves what arrived. If something is missing, like the amounts or the steps, the card says so plainly and shows you the next way to fill it in. When you share a link, Solari reads the public post or page to find the recipe. The privacy policy explains how.

How do I plan a week?

Open the Solari tab and ask for a week (“Plan my week” works), or tap Draft my week in Week. Solari drafts dinners from your cookbook and its own recipes around your household’s allergies, diets, and cooking nights. Then you make the last few choices: swap a dinner, move it to another night, or mark a night out. Tell Solari things like “We’re out Friday” and it plans around them.

Where does my shopping list come from?

From your week. The list in Shop is built from the dinners on your plan, combined and scaled to how many people are eating. Check things off as you go. When you are ready, you can send the list to a store you connect (the Kroger family of stores, Amazon Fresh, or Whole Foods Market), put it in Apple Reminders, or share it. Sending the list does not check anything off in Solari, and you finish every order in the store’s own app or site.

How do Cook Mode timers work?

Open a dinner and tap Start cooking. Cook Mode walks you through the steps. When a step has a time, you can start a timer, add a minute, or set your own. If you allow alarms, a timer rings like a kitchen timer even when you leave the app or lock your phone, and you can stop it from the Lock Screen. If you do not allow alarms, Solari uses a notification instead.

How does Solari handle allergies?

Add each person’s allergies and diets during setup, change them later in You under Edit my base setup, or tell Solari in the chat. Solari flags recipes that contain those allergens, including ingredients where an allergen is less obvious, keeps severe allergens out of the weeks it drafts for you, and plans around each person’s diet. Recipes you choose yourself are flagged, not hidden.

Solari flags, it does not certify. Recipe data, ingredient names, and substitutions can be incomplete or wrong, and a photo cannot show whether food is safe. Always check the recipe, the ingredient labels, and how the food is prepared. Follow your doctor’s guidance for any allergy or medical condition. For an emergency, call 911.

How do I invite my partner?

Open You and choose Invite someone to your family. Solari makes a link with a short code you can send any way you like. Your partner installs Solari, signs in with Apple, and joins your family. The code works once and expires after 14 days. Everyone in a family shares the same week, cookbook, shopping list, and household details. Each adult’s chat history with Solari is saved on their own phone, not shared with the rest of the family.

How do I delete my account?

  1. Open Solari.
  2. Open You.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

If you are the only adult in your family, this deletes your account and your family’s data. If other adults share your family, you can choose Remove just me, which keeps the plan, cookbook, and shopping list for them, or delete the family for everyone. The privacy policy explains what is removed. If you cannot open the app or deletion does not work, email jeremy@solari.family from the address connected to your account.
